SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Arrives on Android for $9.99

SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom has landed on the Google Play Store courtesy of HandyGames.

Originally released in 2003, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom sees you exploring the titular underwater settlement as you turn back the tide of Plankton’s evil robot army.

You’ll play not only as SpongeBob but as Patrick the starfish and Sandy the squirrel. Each character comes with its own unique skills and special moves.

The game wasn’t very well received when it first came out, but over the years it built up a loyal cult following, resulting in a re-release in 2020 with the word “Rehydrated” attached to its title. That one got some iffy reviews too, though it has sold quite well.

And you can now play SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom on your Android phone. It comes with full controller support, and it costs $9.99.
