Funko Pop! Blitz’s latest move in its mission to absorb all of popular culture is a crossover event involving the 1985 cult classic The Breakfast Club.
In case you don’t know, The Breakfast Club is an angsty John Hughes film about a group of unhappy, apparently disparate teenagers who find common ground during a tempestuous session of Saturday morning detention.
These iconic teens – Andrew Clark, Allison Reynolds, Claire Standish, John Bender, and Brian Johnson – along with their suave vice principal Richard Vernon, are all available to collect in Funko Pop! Blitz until January the 27th.
Throughout the event, pencil and paper items will appear on the board during every match-three round. If you can drop them to the bottom, you’ll add a bit more to the essay you need to write for the dreaded Vernon.
For the uninitiated, Funko Pop! Blitz is a cute, playable casual match-three puzzler built around a diverse array of pop culture artefacts, from Back to the Future to, well, The Breakfast Club.
