Genshin Impact Is Getting a New ‘Invitation of Windblume’ Update on March 17th

Genshin Impact, miHoYo’s staggeringly popular gacha RPG that looks very similar to Breath of the Wild, is getting its 1.4 update on the 17th of March.

Entitled ‘Invitation of Windblume’, the update will feature an event whereby the citizens of Mondstadt gather to celebrate freedom and love amid fluttering dandelion seeds. The event commemorates the liberation fo Mondstadt 2,600 years ago. Those guys know how to keep a party going.

The Windblume Festival, as the event is known, consists of mini-games and challenges to play either solo or with friends. Rewards include the Windsong Lyre, a commemorative balloon, and a new 4-star weapon called Windblume Ode.

There’s going to be a new story quest, too, with multiple endings available. Plus, the 1.4 update will reveal more on the Abyss Order and the fate of the protagonist’s long-lost sibling.

Rosaria is joining the game as a 4-star playable, and a variety of new functions and optimizations wil be introduced.
