Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, the acclaimed Castlevania-esque action-RPG from developer ArtPlay, has just been updated with optmizations, d-pad tweaks, and a whole new character.
Available as DLC, Zangetsu is a demon-hunting samurai warrior voiced by Solid Snake actor David Hayter. You may have encountered him as a side character while playing through Miriam’s story. Zengetsu is highly agile, and wields a legendary sword called Zangetsuto, along with daggers and a grappling hook.
To access Zangetsu, you’ll need to get all the way through the main campaign (and download the update, obv.)
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is generally considered the spiritual successor to Castlevania, not least because it was created by Castlevania developer Koji Igarashi. It sees you playing as Miriam, a traumatized but undeniably badass orphan, as you explore a gothic castle and take down 120 different types of minion using 107 different weapons and 23 skills.
And then it sees you playing as Zangetsu.
You can download Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for $9.99 right now on the Google Play Store.
