Game of Thrones: The Board Game Has Nothing to do with the HBO Show, and it’s Out Now on Android

Game of Thrones: The Board Game, the PC game of the board game about the book, has just made its way to the Google Play Store.

Unlike other Game of Thrones games, Game of Thrones: The Board Game has nothing to do with the HBO series. That’s because the physical game came out all the way back in 2003, before the show was even a glint in George R. R. Martin’s eye.

Game of Thrones: The Board Game sees you vieing for control of cities and strongholds throughout Westeros as you attempt to take the Iron Throne in ten turns.

It was widely acclaimed as a physical game, thanks to its accessible yet deep gameplay and blend of Euro and American mechanics. Acclaim for the digital version is less universal, but it’s a solid port with respectable reviews.

It features ten unique solo story challenges, 6-player cross-platform multiplayer, and the A Dance with Dragons DLC.

You can downlaod Game of Thrones: The Board Game $8.99 right now on the Google Play Store. A Dance with Dragons will cost you another $4.99.
