RuneScape Will Join Old School RuneScape on the Google Play Store This Summer, Pre-Register Now

Jagex has announced that its hugely popular MMORPG RuneScape will come to Android this summer. Old School RuneScape, of course, is already available.

In case you’ve never been on the internet, RuneScape is a sprawling, free, gloriously conventional MMORPG in which you create a character and then set off on your own self-directed adventure through a sandbox world that’s teeming with other players, quests, fantasy locations, and so on.

RuneScape on mobile will be the full RuneScape experience, according to the blurb. It’ll be free and fully cross-platform, so you’ll be able to meet up with your PC friends.

Old School RuneScape has been a massive hit on Android, with 8 million installs and an impressive 4.5 average review score on Google Play. If that doesn’t encourage you to pre-register for RuneScape right now, perhaps the rewards will.

Players who sign up now will help to unlock a series of exclusive in-game rewards, some of which are cosmetic and some practical. For instance, you can bag yourself a natty hairstyle and a Crux Equal armor set, giving you a 50% XP boost for a week.

You can pre-register for RuneScape on the Google Play Store.
