Here’s Everything we Know About Valorant Mobile for Android

Riot Games has revealed that Valorant is heading to mobile. Following on from the massive success of League of Legends: Wild Rift, Riot is now in the process of transferring its 5v5 tactical shooter to smaller screens.

The home version of Valorant is a team-based, character driven shooter. There are shades of Overwatch there – sort of like an FPS crossed with a MOBA crossed with some other bits and bobs. And it’s been doing brilliantly on PC.

According to Riot, Valorant has around 14 million monthly users on PC, which makes it a prime candidate to join the likes of Call of Duty and Apex Legends in the mobile sphere.

So what do we know about Valorant for mobile? Well, we know it’s going to be called Valorant Mobile. Beyond that, we’re a little bit in the dark. We imagine the game is going to be free to play, and if League of Legends: Wild Rift is anything to go by, we can expect Valorant Mobile to be a slightly tweaked version of the home game, designed to be played within the limitations of a touchscreen device.

When it comes to a release date, or what platforms the game is going to land on, we’re in the dark. We’re going to go out on a pretty sturdy limb and say the game is definitely going to come out on the Play Store, though.

We will, of course, keep you updated as and when we hear more about Valorant Mobile. We can tell you one thing for sure, though – we’re pretty darn excited to play it.
