Rickle is an Addictive Tower-Building Casual Game, Out Now

Rickle is a game about building. Not only does it see you building a stack of rocks against a range of beautifully drawn backdrops, but it sees you building a better world at the same time.

That’s because a portion of the proceeds from Rickle’s IAP sales and ad revenue have been pledged to three leading environmental charities: the Natural Resources Defense Council, the Union of Concerned Scientists, and the Environmental Working Group.

To play your part, all you need to do is play the game. Here’s how.

In the middle of the screen there’s a slab of rock, while more slabs of rock keep floating in from the left and the right. The goal is to tap your smartphone whenever a rock is directly above the stack in the center, adding another layer to your tower.

The perfect tap will land a rock flush with the one beneath it. The imperfect tap, on the other hand, will leave an overhang that gets sliced off before the next rock arrives. This obviously has the effect of shrinking the top of your tower, making it harder for you to place the next rock flush. Every attempt is doomed to failure.

But don’t despair. Rickle keeps track of your cumulative total, and when it gets high enough you’ll unlock the next world. And you’ve got a personal best to chase too, giving you plenty of motivation to jump back in for another go.

The developer has also promised to add to the game’s existing ten locations with future updates as well, with easter eggs and hidden mini games also planned.

So what are you waiting for? Download Rickle on the Google Play Store and the App Store.  There’s an official site in place for the game too.
