Overboard has been out for iOS for a few weeks, but the getting-away-with-murder-mystery from 80 Days developer Inkle has finally landed on the Play Store. Which is nice.
The game sees you trying to get away with murder on a boat crossing the ocean. You’ve got eight hours to convince the other passengers of your innocence, and how you do it is up to you. It’s part adventure game, part visual novel, part choose-your-own-adventure.
You can kill more people, charm the other guests and try and convince them you’re pure as the driven snow in a bunch of other different ways. Here’s a trailer.
A single play-through of the game lasts about 45 minutes, but if you want to commit the perfect crime you’re going to have to repeat the process multiple times. There are secrets to uncover, motives to pry out and loads more.
The characters you meet go about their own business as you play, and they’ll remember everything you do and say. Basically, there’s loads going on, and you’re going to have to be on your toes if you want to get away with murder.
You can click here to download Overboard from the Google Play Store right this second. It’s a premium game and it’ll set you back $6.49. That’s a one-off payment, and there are no IAPs.
