Well, the headline pretty much covers the big news with this one. Contra Returns has launched on the Google Play Store, bringing a modern reboot of the classic run-and-gunner to the palm of your hand.
As you might imagine, there are plenty of changes here. Perhaps most interestingly the inclusion of a whole bunch of different PvP modes to the experience. They range from one on one duels to more complex 3v3 fort battles.
There’s plenty of single player and co-op stuff as well, with a hardcore one life mode and plenty of PvE action you can sink your fingers into while you’re playing along with a friend.
There are different heroes to pick from, and you’re looking at around 200 levels of carnage to blast your way through. It looks fun, fast and kinda nostalgic too, we guess.
