My Friend Pedro: Ripe for Revenge only came out last week, but it’s just had an update that’s tweaked the way it’s monetized. Normally, that’d be a bad thing, but this time round the changes are likely to be welcomed by a lot of people.
One of the main complaints about the mobile version of My Friend Pedro was that you could play it for free, but it didn’t have any checkpoints. That meant that when you died, you’d end up back at the very beginning of the game.
Now, though, things are different. The checkpoints are included in the free version, which is supported by ads. The premium upgrade will get rid of the ads, as well as unlocking the Blood Rush game mode.
It’s good to see a developer responding so quickly to player complaints, and maybe some of you are going to be more inclined to play the game now. We definitely think you should – it’s one of the best shooters on the Play Store as far as we’re concerned.
