Rocksmith+ Launch Delayed Until 2022

Rocksmith+, Ubisoft’s re-branded cross-platform instrument learning game, has been delayed until 2022. So if you wanted to learn how to play the guitar this year, you’re going to have to find a different way to do it. Youtube?

The news was revealed in a tweet on the official Rocksmith+ Twitter page. We’ve taken the liberty and embedded it below so you can peruse it at your own leisure.

That tweet was accompanied by a massive dev diary blog post that discussed the reasons for the delay, as well as shedding some light on the features that the delay is going to allow the devs to add. You can read all about it here.

Rocksmith+ is certainly an interesting idea, gamifying learning an instrument and turning it into a live service with regularly updated songs, music and lessons. Better than clacking away at a small plastic faux-tar, that’s for sure.

We’ll keep you updated when we hear anything else about Rocksmith+. If you want to keep updated with the game’s development, you can check out the game’s website right here.
