Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier Release Date Confirmed

At the end of last month, pre-registration went live for Squeenix’s upcoming 75 player battle royale slash FFVII prequel Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier. And now we have a concrete release date for the game, thanks to a swanky trailer.

The game is set to launch globally on the App Store on November 17th. Which is in 12 days. That’s hardly any time at all, in the grand scheme of things.

The trailer that’s been released is the game’s opening movie, and shows off that Squeenix flair for cut scenes that made the company think Spirits Within was a good idea. Let’s watch it, shall we?

The game features different character styles, chocobos you can ride through the map, and a bunch of other twists to the battle royale formula. Summons, for example. Can’t use them in other battle royale games.

There’s still time to pre-register for Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier at the Play Store and get yourself some in-game goodies when the game launches. You can do it by clicking here.
