Star Wars: Hunters has Soft-Launched in a Number of Territories

Zynga has soft-launched its upcoming team-based Star Wars battler, Star Wars: Hunters in a number of territories. The soft-launch is exclusively for Android devices at the moment.

Specifically it’s for Android devices in India, the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia. So if you live in any of those places, you can play the game right now. Or if you don’t and you don’t mind using a VPN. Which obviously we don’t encourage.

The game is a 4v4 arena battler where you and three friends team up to fight it out with another squad in a battle to the death. Just like in the movies. Here’s a trailer.

According to the Google Play Store page for the game, there’ll be a couple of modes. Escort will see you trying to get a payload to safety, and Control will see you battling it out for control of points on the map.

Star Wars: Hunters is scheduled for a release next year, and this soft-launch is a step towards that global release. You can pre-register for the game at its official site here.

We’ll let you know when we hear about a global launch date for the game, and if and when Google Play pre-registration goes live.
