(Update)Legend of Mana Remaster Out Now for Android

Much as we predicted when we first wrote this story, Legend of Mana is now available globally on the Play Store. You can download it by clicking here, and it’ll set you back $21.99.

Earlier this year, Square Enix launched a remastered version of its classic RPG Legend of Mana on home consoles. That’s fine, we thought, maybe it’ll come to mobile one day. And now it has. Sort of.

A version of the remaster has just landed on the Play Store. That’s the good news. The bad news is that right now it’s only available in Japan. We guess that’s good news if you live in Japan, though.

The game features an interesting system whereby you find artifacts as you play and use them to build the world map. The remaster also features a special mini-game that’s never been released in the West before. Trailer.

We fully (or at least, like 68%) expect this one to land globally on the Play Store at some point in the very near future. The translations obviously exist, since it’s available everywhere on home consoles and PC.

Plus, there are already three Mana games – Trials of…, Adventures of…, and Secret of… on the Play Store round these parts. We’ll let you know as and when we hear more.

Here’s the link to download the game from the Japanese Play Store.
