The Best Android Games of 2021 – My Friend Pedro: Ripe for Revenge

There’s a delightful, glorious dance happening in My Friend Pedro. A dance with guns and explosions. And a talking banana. It’s silly in all the right ways, and challenges you to keep playing until you’re perfect.

This isn’t a direct port of the smash hit console game. Instead it’s a mobile-exclusive, with slick touchscreen controls, that sees you blasting your way through 37 levels.

The aim of the game is combos, chaining together attacks as a clock ticks down to reach new bullet-time-infused heights of carnage. You can make it through the levels pretty easily, but getting the best scores requires patience and no-small-amount of skill.

There are a couple of annoying parts – specifically the motorbike sections that don’t quite spark to life like the rest of the game – and some people might be annoyed by the monetization as well.

But at the end of the day, this is one of the best action experiences available on the Play Store. And it does it all with the sort of swagger and aplomb that other games can only dream of.

Click here to download My Friend Pedro: Ripe for Revenge from the Play Store. It’s free with ads, and an IAP to get rid of them.
