There are few things more thrilling in gaming than sloshing through muddy tracks at break-neck speed. That’s something that Rush Rally Origins understands and, perhaps more importantly, gets just right.
The game is a top-down rally racer that sees you tearing through mud, tarmac, snow and grit, chasing the best times and a podium finish. It’s wonderfully balanced and it looks ace, too, running at 60fps on supported devices.
It’s got some pretty slick touchscreen controls, with a variety of options and customizable bits to help you out, and it supports controllers too. There’s loads of cars to unlock and upgrades to add as well.
There are a variety of different modes to work your way through, and while it might take some time for everything to click into place, when it does it’s hard not to play with a grin on your face.
Throw in leaderboards and downloadable ghosts and you’ve got a game that keeps on giving, daring you to try and shave another fraction of a second off your best time.
