Class of ’09 might look like your standard visual novel fare, but it throws the tropes of the genre on their head. Instead of hitting on cute anime girls, you’re playing as one, rejecting everyone’s advances and basking in the chaos.
The dev terms this is a rejection simulator, as opposed to a dating simulator. It all sounds awful, and it’s meant to. You’re essentially a sociopath out to destroy everyone.
And since it’s set in 2009, there’s no social media or instant judgement. Just do terrible things to people, get away with it, then go and contemplate death. Because that’s what everyone did back then.
So, yeah, Class of ’09 looks sort of gross and sort of fun and you might enjoy it if you’re into that sort of thing. There are a bunch of different endings, it’s fully voiced, and there’s loads of different outfits.
