Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent has been kicking about in pre-registration land since earlier in the year. But now we’ve got a global release date for the mobile-exclusive JRPG prequel. Which is something to write home about.
Well, it’s not. It’s something to write on a mobile gaming website about. So that’s what we’re doing. When is the game going to be available, then? Well, according to Square Enix it’s going to land on July 27th. Which is a month and a bit.
Like other recent Square Enix releases, we imagine you’ll actually be able to download the game on the 26th, but the servers won’t zap on until the day after. Because that’s a thing now, for whatever reason. Here’s a trailer.
