A lot of people enjoy the online version of Canabalt created by Semi Secret who also help create the game Steambirds on Android. Well recently they held a fund raiser for a charity and if they reached their goal, they would release the source for Canabalt. They ended up doing just that and now one developer is working on it for Android.
Alright so by now we all know that the Xperia Play exists and we’ve seen the insides of it, seen it in action playing games and even watched Engadget fondle it. Now to really solidify the fact it is real, since Sony Ericsson keeps saying it is not, we now have an official commercial about the Xperia Play!
Today Google held their media event which it will shown live on YouTube. While we aren’t at the actual event, we watched the live showing of the event where they were showing a preview of Honeycomb. Other announcements were rumored to be coming in the event such as a web-based marketplace.

Their update to GFx, version 4.0, will be bringing new features and optimizations for game developers in the mobile arena to use when creating their user interfaces for their games.
Konami has been testing the waters of the Android Market recently with the release of Frogger and Contra 4: Redux. It seems that Konami is ready to take a real jump into those waters though as they released one of their major sports titles, PES 2011. This is a realistic, 3D soccer (football depending on where you are from) game.
Pocket Legends is currently waiting on Apple to approve the upcoming v1.7 update which to the table a whole lot more awesome for all you Pocket Legend players out there. Last week we reported on an upcoming update for Dungeon Defenders: First Wave that was labeled as v3.0. Another new indie game developer has joined the ranks of developers for Android. Going by the name Red Sky Forge, their flagship game was release yesterday called Discretion which is a new 3D RPG to play on your Android device. It is sporting some interesting retro-3D style graphics and open world gameplay.
