Recently we reviewed the new MOGA gaming controller which, as a controller, is excellent and works quite well for pretty much any of your gaming needs whether it be on a phone, clipped into the MOGA, or on your tablet as a wireless Bluetooth controller. However, the MOGA controller requires you to use the Pivot app which, as an app, is rather nice but does have some issues. A recent update the other day fixed a few of these issues though.
While the general Android population enjoys, at least to some degree, pointing out Electronic Arts’ weird selection of supported devices whenever they launch a new game, the company themselves has decided to address the issue in a way that will make future Nexus owners fairly happy. EA has announced that 13 titles will be available when the new Nexus line-up launches on November 13th, 2012, which is pretty much their entire catalog of games on Android.
One of the games I’ve been spending a lot of time on lately is Shadowgun: DeadZone. Well, for now it is a public beta, but even then the game is very much playable with no bugs of note. Jonatan Söderström, the developer behind the game, told PocketGamer that he has been in talks with Sony to bring the game to the PS Vita and, quite possibly, to other mobile devices such as Android ones.
Well today was supposed to be the large media event Google was going to hold but it unfortunately got canceled due to the bad weather going on over on the East coast, which we hope all of our readers over there are taking measures to stay safe. Google, instead of rescheduling the event to announce the new Nexus devices, has gone ahead and made everything official today anyways through an online announcement instead. So what is official? The LG Nexus 4, the Nexus 10 tablet and the Nexus 7 32GB version tablet.
Rovio gave warning a couple of hours ago on Twitter that they would be showing off the first in-game footage for their upcoming Star Wars / Angry Birds crossover game, appropriately named Angry Birds Star Wars. While Rovio has pumped out a video or two a week for the past few weeks since they announced the game, none of them have actually shown anything about the game. Now we get to see actual gameplay footage.
