As you all know Amazon now has their own Android Appstore and in it they have the ability to offer paid apps and games for free on a daily basis, just like Apple’s App Store. Today, for us Android users that free game is Doodle Jump. Normally 99 cents, Doodle Jump has over 250,000 downloads in the regular Android Market and is rated at 4.5/5 stars.

Woo Games developed FRG and FRG Deluxe awhile back which has been a staple on many gamers phones since their release. In the past it has been updated with Achievements and Leaderboards thanks to Scoreloop but it seems Woo Games want to take it a step further. FRG is getting multiplayer and beta sign-up is now available!
Alright so yesterday we posted about the awesome dancing Android robot celebrating the Xperia Arc in some random mall somewhere in the world. While he got down to business busting moves all over the place, the music for a lot of people was unfitting it seems. So what does society do in this case? Make a remix.
A new tower defense game has arrived on the Android Market, themed around Pokemon which we are sure a lot of you Pokemon buffs will be happy about. It even features cool retro-style graphics but when looking at this game as a whole, there is a lot more to it then just a Tower Defense game for Android.

Named iZi, this app when installed will allow you to play games (and other functions) with nothing more than gestures.

Well now it seems they are ready to just jump right into mobile gaming full force as they have just set up a department/company under them called HippoLabs which will be dedicated to mobile gaming on Smartphones.
[Update] Jet Set Games launches Highborn turn-based strategy game exclusively on the Amazon App Store
The crew over at Jet Set Games have launched a wicked looking turn-based strategy game called Highborn onto the Android platform. Now this is were you’ll have to get used to hearing this next line. It is available exclusively on the Amazon App Store. This is obviously going to be a trend if it wants to compete with the Android Market.
The dancing Android robot has become a staple at events these days… or random malls. We’ve seen it everywhere from the MiKandi video to pretty much anywhere you pay some person to dress up in an Android costume and dance. However this little guy has decided to spring up in some mall with techno music.
Our friends over at Battery Powered Games have been hard at work with a new project we thought would end up being another game. However, as it turns out, it isn’t a game at all but an entire development framework for cross-platform game development. Called BatteryTech, it is available for indies developers and bigger studios as well.

This is going to end up being a headline for awhile when it comes to the Xperia Play regarding new games being released from developers which will be exclusively for the Xperia Play. This time from Gameloft who announced on Twitter a new game called Backstab which is slated for release sometime in Q2 2011 and will be exclusive for 1 month.
