Revolution 2217 Review

In the wide world of Space Invader style games that exists on the Android market, to differ from the rest of them you have to be able to offer up a unique experience, fun addictive game play and some good eye candy. A lot of the games in this genre fall short in one form or another. Revolution 2217, developed by ToJam Games is an attempt to change that.

W.W.G.R. Mar.24-Mar.31

I’ve kind of slacked off about keeping up with the Weekly Worst Game Review, not that their hasn’t been enough to review, just been busy writing about other games and getting our first contest organized. Developer Brainmelt GmbH, however, has pulled me out of this slacking off to talk about his awesome new game nicely titled Amateur Housewives.

Zenonia RPG Review

I feel after giving Zenonia a bunch of playtime so far that I can do a good review of this huge game release by Gamevil. This game is massive (40+ hours not including if you want to get to lvl99) as well with a ridiculous amount of detail and polish. I picked up my copy the moment it hit the Android market and I’ve been playing it on and off as much as I can between working, it’s addictive.

Shadow Zone Review

Shadow Zone by NewGround is a turn based strategy game set in 1986 when Chernobyl’s 4th block has an accidental nuclear explosion and the area is sealed off. This game boasts 40+ hours of game play so it’s definitely not a short game you’ll be done with in a couple of hours. Now that I’ve gotten some real play time with this game, here is our review of it.

Vacuum Beta Review

Having dived into this game for almost a week now I can safely say this is a fun game to play. For a beta version it’s pretty polished and ready to ship onto the Android market. Vacuum by Door-6 is a neat concept as it takes the tunnel style games to another level by having global rankings and cash prizes.

W.W.G.R Mar.1-Mar.7

I don’t know if Stone Jordan got some advice from Aroma Planning on how to make crappy games but it sure seems like it considering the familiarities between the two developers. This week’s review of the worst games currently out are by developer Stone Jordan who has been releasing some sort of picture ‘game’ that displays pictures…and that’s it. These aren’t even games really but since they are posted under the Games section of the market, they get reviewed.

Review – The Great Land Grab

Our first review is of a pretty interesting and fun game called The Great Land Grab or TGLG for short developed by TGLG Corp.

The Game In A Nutshell: The idea of the game is to claim the land (via GPS) that you are located in. As you travel you can claim more lands or try to grab the land owned by someone else.

Weekly Worst Game Review

One of the lovely features on this site will be a review, once a week, of that weeks worst game that has been released to our beloved Android Market. Since this is our first installment, it’s been decided to kick it off with one of the big players who has tried hard to produce not just one, but a series of terrible games.
