Some characters will never die. In the cases of Rambo and John McLane, that’s a figurative statement, but it’s literally true in the case of Godzilla, an immortal nuclear dinosaur who lives, like SpongeBob, in the sea.
All three of these legends have made an appearance this week, along with three of the characters we’ll soon be meeting on the battlefield in the hugely anticipated Punishing: Gray Raven.
NieR Reincarnation is tantalisingly close to launching globally, too.

Summoners War: Lost Centuria Gets a New Arena Battle Mode, Monsters, and More as it Passes 3 Million Downloads
Summoners War: Lost Centuria is having a very successful launch, racking up 3 million downloads in just a few weeks. Who cares, right? Of more interest to us is the fact that Com2uS is already injecting new content in the form of an Arena Battle mode and a new monster called Hwadam who hammers away at her opponent’s back line.
Yippee-ki-yay! The latest Call of Duty: Mobile is a real crowd pleaser, assuming the crowd in question is made up of people over the age of 40. Two of our favorite 80s Johns – Rambo and McClane – are making an appearance in Call of Duty: Mobile from the 20th. We don’t know what that will entail, but we’re down with it.
Punishing: Gray Raven is already a hit in China and Japan, where its impressive, Genshin Impact-level visuals and futuristic sci-fi setting have been impressing gamers in the far east since 2019. Now it’s on the verge of going global, and developer Kuro Games has released a handful of character trailers ahead of imminent closed beta sign-ups.
Godzilla is everywhere these days, with the latest big budget movie accompanied by three Godzilla mobile games and now this, a special Godzilla event in PUBG Mobile that will see three titans – Godzilla, King Kong, and Mechagodzilla – appearing in maps and dropping goodies for a limited time.
It’s “NieRly” here. Sorry. NieR Reincarnation, which boasts series creator Yoko Taro as its creative director, is knocking on the door of a global launch. You can now pre-register for the game, in fact, ensuring that you’ll be first in line to download the game (along with hundreds of thousands of other players, of course) when the game goes live.
Unless you’re between the ages of 6 and 12, it’s possible that you’ve never encountered Adopt Me, the hugely popular Roblox game in which players build houses, explore a magical world, and socialize. The game is so popular that the two-person team that create it is has swelled to over 40, and they’ve created a new studio to boot, with unannounced projects in the pipeline.
This week we took a stroll down memory lane, betraying our age somewhat as we listed 17 classic games we’d love to play on mobile. On the list are Cannon Fodder, Syndicate, Tetris Attack, and a number of other entries. That number is 14. As ever when we compile a list, what we want is for you to tell us how wrong we are and what we should have included, so get to work!
