The Best .IO Games to Play Right Now on Poki

Look, .IO games have been around for a while now. There’s several reasons for that too – one being that they’re incredibly addictive multiplayer experiences.

If you aren’t familiar, .IO games basically revolve around survival against up to hundreds of other players at the same time.

One example is Agar.io, where you start off as a tiny cell and look to grow bigger and bigger by eating other cells floating around. Problem is, there’s always a bigger cell looking to gobble you up. Playing is simple, and there’s always the feeling you can do better.

These games are also hugely accessible because they’re playable on a range of websites. Our personal favourite platform is Poki though. It’s easy to navigate, and is mobile friendly to boot – something essential for us at Droid Gamers.

So we’ve taken the time to look at three of our favourite and most popular io games at poki here. Let us know your favourites in the comments section too of course!

YoHoHo.io

You know you’re in safe hands here with the title alone. YoHoHo.io sees you marooned on the tropical island of Tortuga with a host of other pirates, but only one of you will survive.

There’s gold doubloons to nab, and each one gets you larger – which helps with vanquishing your foes. There’s even a special dash attack you can utilise which can bail you out of compromising situations.

We love this one primarily because of the nautical theme, which the game takes and runs with.

Snake vs Worms

One of the best competitive .IO games, largely due to its elegant simplicity. You control a snake, and have to get it larger by eating food and other player’s leftovers.

The ultimate goal is to become the largest snake, but collide with another serpent’s body you’ll die and return to the start screen.

There’s the chance to use speed boosts to escape tough situations, but you have to reply purely on your own skills and speed of thought for the most part. Which is why we love it.

Ducklings.io

Ducks are great. They’re cute, sassy, and amusing all at the same time. So we were already pretty much sold on Ducklings.io from the off.

What really sells this game though is that it’s a far more laid back experience than most .IO titles out there. It sees you swimming around looking for lonely lost ducklings, and by bringing them back home you’re rewarded with a range of upgrades.

The relaxed tone of the game makes this a must play, and it’s got a great sense of humour too – with a range of hats you can decorate your mallard with.
