In this guide, we’ll go over the process of getting Ghiaccio, and what he can bring to the table in terms of gameplay.
How To Get Ghiaccio
Ghiaccio is a Celestial rarity Unit. As is usually the case with such Units, that means the only way to get him is by rolling him on Banner 2. If you haven’t done so already, you can unlock Banner 2 by completing Act 6 of Planet Nemak in Story mode.
When Ghiaccio is in the Banner, you’ll have a 0.5% chance to roll him, so you’ll need to roll roughly 200 times on average to get one. If you get particularly unlucky, the Celestial Pity Timer will guarantee you a Ghiaccio after 250 rolls.

How To Use Ghiaccio
The most interesting feature of Ghiaccio is his ability to inflict the Freeze status on enemies. As the name suggests, this effect freezes affected enemies in place for 4 seconds, giving plenty of time for other Units to wear them down. To make the most of this ability, we’d recommend placing Ghiaccio near a cluster of other Units. This will ensure that enemies are locked down within range of other damage dealers, creating a chokepoint that will be tricky to pass.
In terms of Techniques, Ghiaccio benefits a lot from SPA reduction, since this allows him to attack more regularly and keep enemies locked down for longer. The best Techniques for this are Overlord and Cosmic, both of which offer a 15% SPA reduction. Of the two, Cosmic may actually be more powerful, since it doesn’t restrict you to one Placement like Overlord does. It’s also much more common, and therefore easier to roll.
