Armless Detective Rune and Key
Obtaining the Rune
As with most other Halloween Spotlights, the Rune is easy to obtain and necessary before taking on the Key challenge.
To get the Rune, you must complete one investigation. If this is your first time playing, you can do this by joining the orange portal and successfully choosing the correct convict for the tutorial.
Each playthrough is randomised, so you’ll need to learn the tools and choose wisely to proceed.
Obtaining the Key
To obtain the Key, you must solve the Cathedral case. Like the first level, each convict is randomised, so you need to rely on evidence to pick your suspect.
- First: Head behind the Cathedral and locate the metal ball maze. Equip your Magnet and move the ball into all three coloured squares to break the Cathedral seal.
- I recommend keeping your Magnet equipped as you walk around outside, in case you find evidence. Log any evidence you do find in your folder.
- Second: Enter the Cathedral and move all the mirrors to reflect the light from your magnifying glass. Check the diamond’s colour, and note it in your journal.
- Check for candy inside the room, as this is also evidence.
- Third: Grab the Shed Key from next to the diamond case on the floor and return outside to open and check the Shed. If it’s ransacked, note it down as evidence.
- Fourth: Solve the Crime using the evidence collected.
If you get it correct, you’ll need to repeat this map, and after the third stage, unlock the Museum by pressing the red button inside the room with the mirrors. If you choose the correct suspect a second time, you’ll teleport to Spooky Town, where you must visit houses and trick or treat to receive the Key.
