Dig Shovel Stats
Let’s get right into it!
- Control
- The size of the bar during the digging mini-game. The more control, the easier it is to secure loot.
- Haste
- This important stat determines the cooldown time of failed dig attempts. Arguably, it’s one of the more important stats since it makes all the difference between a successful dig and a failure.
- Strength
- How far down your tool travels (percentage) each time you successfully drive your Shovel into the ground during the digging minigame.
- Luck
- Luck enhances your found treasure, so the more luck you have, the better your chances are at uncovering rarer loot.
- Boss DMG
- The amount of health your Shovel deals against bosses.
- Preferred Ground
- Where your Shovel is most effective. It takes longer to shovel terrain outside of the Shovel’s preference, and is easier to fumble.
How To Dig in Dig
Equip your Shovel and left click to strike the ground. You’ll enter the minigame and notice some pop-ups on your screen.
To the left, you’ll see a shovel pointing downwards into the dirt and a percentage. This meter tells you how close you are to successfully digging the treasure from the ground. The shovel must make it to the bottom of the dirt line to unearth the loot.
Across the bottom, you’ll see a black bar with a moving line bouncing from left to right, and a textured and coloured bar somewhere along this. Below this bar is a heart.
To dig, you must left-click each time the moving bar is in the centre of the coloured and textured bar. Aim for the centre, where you see a darker stripe to deal a strong dig. As you play, the heart progressively moves to the left; if it reaches the other side, you’ll lose the treasure. Fortunately, each strong dig moves the heart backwards.
If you miss the coloured bar entirely, you enter a small cooldown where you cannot dig at all. This is shown with a small clock over the main bar.
Once at 0%, you’ll unearth the treasure. Happy digging!
