Disney Speedstorm Tier List

Disney Speedstorm characters racing.

Not sure which racer to pick? Our Disney Speedstorm tier list is here to help. In this guide, I’ll rank all of the characters from S tier to D tier to help you decide who to pick. I’ll also detail who I consider to be the best characters and why. When new characters arrive in the future, I’ll update this guide, so I recommend that you bookmark it and check back often to ensure you’re always using the best and brightest.

Disney Speedstorm combines the best of Asphalt (and therefore Burnout) and the Mario Kart series. You play as a wide variety of your favourite Disney characters, each of which has a class. These include Tricksters, Brawlers, Speedsters, and Defenders. Each class has its own set of skills that help them out in races, either focusing on gaining speed, using weapons against opponents, or defending against others.

You can grab Disney Speedstorm on Google Play. You can learn more about it in our news post from earlier this month.

Who is the Disney Speedstorm Best Character?

There is one definitive answer, but we’ll also include a couple of alternatives in case you fancy trying something else.

Mike Wazowski – S Tier

Mike Wazowski is the undisputed champion of Disney Speedstorm. Why? Well, this is primarily due to his Unique Skill, Hold the Door, which is utterly broken and it’s rather odd that Gameloft hasn’t addressed it yet.

It summons a bunch of doors that teleport you a considerable distance ahead of the competition if you enter one. If that wasn’t impressive enough, the doors teleport any opponent that accidentally enters them backwards.

Combine that with incredible acceleration that helps you gain an early advantage, and solid handling that makes any corner a breeze, and there’s not a lot that Mike Wazowski can’t do. This is the win button.

Elizabeth Swann – S Tier

Just behind Mike Wazowski is Elizabeth Swann, who combines excellent base stats with a Unique Skill that’s functionally quite similar to Wazowski’s. It’s called ‘Jade Captain’s Knot’ and it simultaneously pushes opponents away while boosting you forward.

Charge it and you instead leave behind a trail that disrupts opponents that drive into it, while also gaining that boost. Elizabeth Swann’s boosts are some of the best in the game, and she has great acceleration, handling, and combat abilities.

She doesn’t quite beat out Mike Wazowski, but you will have a bunch of fun playing as her.

Mulan – A Tier

Mulan is a great option for those that end up sitting amongst the pack, rather than rocketing ahead. Her unique skill, Firework Barrage, pops off a bunch of fire works that stun anyone that they hit, helping you to boost ahead.

Charge it, and you can chuck a firework backwards, which is a great skill to use if you do manage to steam ahead. As you can probably tell, its lack of boost pushes Mulan beneath Elizabeth Swann and Mike.

In terms of stats, Mulan has great acceleration, handling, and boost, so you can stay competitive even in the most difficult of tracks. Where Mulan falls short is in her top speed, though you can mitigate that downside by boosting.

Donald Duck – A Tier

Lastly, we have everyone’s favourite angry duck. Donald Duck’s anger is actually the reason I’ve placed him so far in this list. It’s ‘Why I Oughta’, and it not only gives you a shield but, if anyone touches you, you get angry, stun them, and speed ahead.

The charged variant just gives you that anger immediately, which is great if you find yourself caught in the middle of the pack. Combine this with the best handling in the game, and solid acceleration and boost, and Donald Duck is a force to be reckoned with.
