It combines the original and Crisis Core, taking moments from the games and allowing you to replay through them in a chibi style. What is Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis Cactuar?
Cactuar is almost a mascot of the Final Fantasy series at this point. If you’ve played one before, you may recognise it as that cute green cactus enemy that you feel guilty about killing whenever you encounter them.
These enemies make an appearance in Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis, and actually feature as a bonus objective during a specific Criterion Dungeon. It seems that everyone is struggling to find this enemy, which is why we created this guide.
Where Is Cactuar?
During the Criterion Dungeon that challenges you to face Airbuster, you will discover a hidden objective that challenges you to face Cactuar. However, it’s difficult to find this enemy, which is why you have probably landed on this guide.
Fortunately, it’s quite easy to find Cactuar if you know where you’re going. Cactuar’s location is right by the the end of the dungeon, just before you face Airbuster. When running across the final walkway, head straight ahead instead of turning right to face Airbuster, and you will encounter Cactuar.
How do I Defeat Cactuar?
Cactuar is actually quite a challenging enemy to defeat, as they like to use the ‘Escape’ ability, which ends the encounter. So basically, make sure to defeat Cactuar before it can escape. That involves using your most powerful abilities to bring it down quickly.
Or, and I perhaps recommend this a little more, use abilities that stun or lock down Cactuar, so it can’t use this ability.
