Getting the Fisch Anomalous Mutation is not as easy as it may sound. Our guide is here to talk you through it and explain what this mutation does, and how you can reel in something that has it.

Fisch Anomalous Mutation Guide
A fish with the Anomalous Mutation will have glitchy red particles covering it. Its value will also increase by x2.5 more than what it is normally worth, so you can make a good profit if you bulk sell them.
How To Get The Anomalous Mutation
The only way to catch something that has the Anomalous Mutation is by having the Anomalous Enchantment on your rod. Even when you have this enchantment, there is only a 10% chance of reeling something in that has the mutation.
The Anomalous Enchantment is an Exalted Enchantment. These differ from regular Enchantments, as they come from using an Exalted Relic. These are stronger (and rarer!) types of Enchant Relics. You have a 1/2000 chance to fish these up or a 1/800 chance if using the Rod of the Exalted One.
Keep in mind you cannot get this mutation by going to the appraiser, which is what you can do for most of the other mutations.
Using An Exalted Relic
If you want to enchant your rod using the Exalted Relic, it’s the same process as you would do with a regular Enchant Relic. Head to Keeper’s Altar during the night and hold out the relic stone. For more information, we have a How To Enchant Rods In Fisch guide.
There are 7 different enchants you can get with an Exalted Relic, and they are assigned at random to your rod. To find fish with the Anomalous Mutation, you’ll need to get the Anomalous Enchantment. As it’s random, all you can do is hope you get lucky! If you don’t, you’ll need to get another Exalted Relic and repeat the process.
