About The Birthday Megalodon
The Birthday Megalodon is a special Megalodon that’s here as part of the Anniversary Event. It resembles a regular Megalodon, but colored red and wearing a small party hat.
Like its less party-prone cousins, the Birthday Megalodon is very hard to catch, and you will get a 95% Progress Speed reduction in the fishing minigame while it’s on the hook. This means you will have a long fight with the shark if you want to catch it. We’d suggest a rod with high Control for this reason.
How To Catch The Birthday Megalodon

Unlike the rest of the Anniversary Bestiary, you can’t just fish around in the water and find it at random. Instead, the Birthday Megalodon is caught in a way more similar to the normal Megalodon. One should appear in a server at each hour on the hour, along with an indication of its location on the map.
Head out to the spot, and you should see the Birthday Megalodon swimming about. You should be able to fish in this area, and get a shot at catching the Megalodon. Keep in mind, though, you will be competing with any other players going after the fish. Only one person will be able to hook and catch the Birthday Megalodon. (This means if you’re doing this in a private server, it’s notably easier.)
