Fisch Boom Ball Rod Obtainment
The Boom Ball Rod is a secret tool found when the player reaches the Detonator’s Rest. This area is only accessible if the player dies to a Sea Mine within the Descolate Deep 25 times. On the 26th detonation, the player will be teleported into the Detonator’s Rest, where they can buy the rod for 1,000,000 C$.
If you’re after this rod, I recommend setting your spawn point in the Descolate Deep. Additionally, be aware that each death will remove some of your money, so make sure you have enough to compensate for deaths, so that you can still afford the rod.
Boom Ball Rod Stats
- Lure Speed: 0%
- Luck: 0%
- Control: 0.5 (80%)
- Resilience: -500%
- Max Weight: Infinite KG
- Line Distance: 2m
Boom Ball Rod Passive: 50% chance for fish to adopt the Exploded Mutation (0.1x value), with +100% Progress Speed.
Ideal Enchantment
The Boom Ball has quite unusual stats, with its Control bar greedily covering 80% during the reeling minigame. This makes catching fish, even those with high resilience, relatively easy, but that doesn’t make this rod perfect.
Unfortunately, since the Lure Speed and Luck are at 0%, they can’t exactly be built on. For example, +20% of 0 is still 0. So, we need to look at different enchants to enhance this rod.
So, I recommend the following enchants:
- Default Enchant: Momentum
- Every Perfect Catch increases Lure Speed, Resilience, and Progress Speed by 2%. Regular catches reduce this by 4%. Stacks up to 30%.
- Why: Easier to get perfect catches with the huge Control Bar, which allows this enchantment to slowly counter the negative Resilience buff, whilst offering progress speed.
- Exalted Relic Enchants: Piercing
- Stab fish whilst reeling to apply +15% Progress Speed.
- Cosmic Relic Enchants: Cryogenic
- Chance to freeze fish during the catch mini-game.
