Fisch Cathulith Location and Preferences
The Cathulith spawns within the Cultist Lair, found after completing a series of puzzles to unlock the area. Every 3-8 minutes after a previous abundance despawns, a new Cathulith Abundance will spawn and remain for 5 minutes.
During this time, you’ll have a better chance of catching the Cathulith if you tailor your loadout to its preferences:
- Weather: Foggy
- Use a Smokescreen Totem (2,000 C$ from Mushgrove Swamp) to summon Fog
- Time: Night
- Use a Sundial Totem (2,000 C$ from Sunstone Island) to change the day cycle.
- Season: Spring
- Bait: Squid

To spawn the Leviathan within Cultist Lair, you need to offer each podium surrounding the water a different type ot Cathulith or Cathulid. Yes, these are two different fish. The podiums require:
- Nova Cathulith
- 5% chance during Starfall.
- 15% chance with a Rod of the Cosmos.
- 100% chance when using the Starlight Worm Bait.
- Rainbow Cluster Cathulid
- 20% chance when using the Rainbow Cluster rod (35% chance during Rainbow)
- 5% chance during Rainbow.
- Aurora Cathulith
- 15% chance when using an Aurora Rod (30% chance during Aurora Borealis)
- 15% chance when using the Aurora Bait (30% chance during Aurora Borealis)
- 1% chance when fishing during an Aurora Borealis.
- Purified Cathulith or Cathulid
- 30% chance with the Insight Enchantment
- Give the Chiseler NPC (Ancient Isles) an Amber mutated fish to purify it.
