Why Do You Need An Oxygen Tank?
You might see an oxygen tank for sale at Northern Expedition, but ask ‘Why should I spend money on one of these?’ The answer is that you need an oxygen supply as you get further up the slopes of the Northern Summit. At some point on the climb, two bars should appear next to your avatar. These are temperature and oxygen. In our tests this was at Base Camp when we spawned there, but a little before the Overgrowth Caves when we first climbed. An oxygen tank will allow the O2 bar to fall much more slowly. You can also refill oxygen tanks at camps, to replenish the O2 bar.
Oxygen Tanks Available
There are four different oxygen tanks available in total, found at different spots on the climb.
When we tested, a player with no oxygen tank could last for approximately 2 minutes or 120 seconds above the point where the oxygen bar appears.
Basic Oxygen Tank
Bought at Base Camp for 1,000C$.
This oxygen tank is green in colour. Using it makes the O2 bar for approximately 6 minutes and 30 seconds maximum, but becomes less effective the higher you go on the mountain.

Beginner Oxygen Tank
Found at Camp 2 (aka Frigid Cavern) next to the Pickaxe, you can buy one for 3,500C$. With the Beginner Oxygen Tank equipped, your O2 bar lasts for approximately 16 minutes at lower levels according to our tests, but becomes less effective the higher you get on the mountain.

Intermediate Oxygen Tank
This Oxygen Tank is found at Camp 3, next to the Summit Rod. It costs 10,000C$ to purchase. It has higher capacity than the Basic or Beginner, and is better suited to the high altitude beyond Camp 3.

Advanced Oxygen Tank
The final Oxygen Tank is found at Camp 4, and lasts the longest out of any of the tanks. This is best suited to any part of the mountain, though you may have to buy the others first.
