The Cooking update brought a ton of new pets to Grow A Garden, all with a distinctly culinary theme. Some are amazing and really worth the effort to get, some are those mediocre ones you get five of. We’ve put together this Grow A Garden Food Pets guide to run over what all of them do.

Bagel Bunny
Eats a carrot every minute, giving you 5x the carrot’s sale value.
Bacon Pig
Projects an aura that increases the chance of new crops to get variations when they grow in.
Sunny Side Chicken
Hatches eggs faster.
Pancake Mole
Digs down to find gear and sheckles and gives them to you.
Hotdog Dachshund
Drops mustard and ketchup onto the ground every four minutes or so. Ketchup boosts XP gain to pets standing in the radius, while Mustard reduces cooldown for abiliites.
Gorilla Chef
If you have Cooking Cauldron or Cooking Pot the Gorilla will help you out and has a chance to duplicate any food that you cook, so you get two of the dish.
Sushi Bear
Mutates food to Chilled or Frozen.
Mochi Mouse
Boosts the XP for all Food-type pets while the pet is active in the garden.
Spaghetti Sloth
Will work some cooking magic on nearby crops, giving them the Pasta, Sauce, or Meatball mutations.
Junkbot
Around every 15 minutes, there’s a chance the Junkbot will gis a fruit the Oil mutation.
Lobster Thermidor
Can mutate fruit to both Molten (around every 15 minutes) and Meteoric (around every 30 minutes).
French Fry Ferret
Increases a Pet’s level by 1 every hour or so. This ability is unaffected by cooldown reduction, and cannot by copied by other pets. (Like the Mimic Octopus.)
