Grow a Garden Kiwi – Obtainment
The Kiwi is the first obtainable pet with no egg or hatch chance. This Rare pet hails from the Lunar Glow event, obtainable after handing the Owl 160 points worth of Moonlit produce.
Lunar Glow Event – A Brief Overview
The Lunar Glow event happens once an hour on the hour. During this, nighttime falls upon the server, and crops have a chance to adopt the Moonlit mutation. Feed Moonlit plants to the giant Owl in the centre of the server to earn points in exchange for limited-time rewards.
Kiwi Pet Buffs
When free-roaming your Garden, the Kiwi will reduce the hatch time of an egg by 20 seconds every minute. This helps speed up the hatching process if you plan on staying online for a while to wait out a new spawn.
For example, the Rare Egg typically takes 2 hours to hatch. With a Kiwi within your garden, this reduces to 1 hour 20 minutes, saving you 40 minutes of playtime!
Is The Kiwi a Good Pet?
As with all adoptables, this pet has its pros and cons. However, the Kiwi is easily rendered useless. Whilst it can reduce hatch times by around 33%~ if the player stays online, the Kiwi provides no monetary gain, nor will it reduce hatch time when the player is offline, and it serves no job at all if the player isn’t currently growing any eggs.
