So let’s cover what the Lightning Rod is, and how to get it.
About The Lightning Rod
The Lightning Rod is a piece of gear added in the latest update. Unlike sprinklers, it doesn’t wear out after a certain amount of time. Instead, it’s only used up once it’s expended all its uses. What’s it used for? Lightning.
You might have noticed the thunderstorm weather from time to time! If you use the Lightning Rod, it will get hit by lightning, and after it does, all crops in the immediate area will gain the Shocked Mutation and increased sale value. It will do this three times in total, before despawning. After that, you’ll need to grab another Lightning Rod.
How To Get A Lightning Rod
So, how do you get hold of one of these?
Lightning Rods are available from the Gear Shop. Well… in theory, anyway. Like the Seed Shop, the Gear Shop has limited stock, and restocks every five minutes. Gear, especially rarer kinds of Gear, might not get any extra stock for multiple restocks.
If you want better chances, it’s worth creating a private server. They’re free, and also have the Gear Shop restocks, however, you won’t have to contend with other players buying up the restock before you get a chance, so it makes the whole thing perhaps a little less stressful.
