Sometime after the Angry Plant event update, players would occasionally find free seeds during harvest. In this Grow a Garden Lucky Harvest guide, I tell you how this works, what plants it works for, and if there’s any way to increase your odds!

Grow a Garden Lucky Harvest
A Lucky Harvest happens when you’re collecting your crops, where you’ll gain back a seed of that plant. Use the freebies immediately, or store them for later! They drop from any plant, but tend to appear more commonly on plants that grow multiple bodies of fruit on one stem, such as strawberries.
The Lucky Seeds aren’t limited either. They appear for any seed type, including one-time-use produce such as Carrots, to high-rarity fruiting trees like Apple Seeds.
Lucky Seeds drop from more than just the seeds bought from the in-game store. Rarer crops, such as those from the daily quest seed packets, have the chance to produce a Lucky Harvest, giving you an additional free seed without needing to complete a daily quest! Though it’s still down to luck and a low chance altogether.
How To Get More Lucky Harvests
Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem as though any Gears, weather events, or otherwise influence your chance of reclaiming a seed. Handy as it is to get a free seed, so you don’t need to wait for shop restocks, they’re a chance encounter for only the luckiest of players.
I recommend tending to your plot regularly, focusing on the repeatable harvest plants that produce several crops for the best chance to get a free seed. If that doesn’t work, all you can do now is wait for the seed to appear naturally in the store during the 5-minute restock window.
