Who doesn’t love an evil questline? While we might’ve talked a lot about Bizarre Lineage’s Stands, there are other supernatural forces out there for anyone eager to seek them out… and maybe violate the Geneva Convention a tiny bit. Yes, we’re talking about how to become a Vampire in Bizarre Lineage.

How To Become A Vampire In Bizarre Lineage

Now we need to tackle the important questions.

Why Become A Vampire?

Selling your soul comes with quite a few benefits. Most importantly you get access to the Vampire Moveset. This moveset sits on your hotbar (so can be used alongside a Stand) and gives you three extra combat moves.

What’s the vampire moveset, you ask?

  • Space Ripper Stingy Eyes
    • Blast your opponent with your laser eyes. Stuns and deals progressive Burn damage afterwards on a hit.
  • Flash Freeze
    • A close range strike that stuns the opponent for a good amount of time.
  • Leeching Terror
    • Dinner time. A grab move that drains your grabbed opponent, and heals you. It starts with a charge forward, meaning you can cover a decent distance.

You also get a Lifesteal passive, which is always nice.

How To Become A Vampire

Becoming a Vampire isn’t that complicated, though there’s more to it than a simple transformation. We’ll try to explain. First you need to transform, then you need to actually acquire the full moveset. The sections below detail both.

Getting The Stone Mask

The first step to vampirism is acquiring the Stone Mask. Putting this item on your face lets you forsake humanity and become a creature of the night. Surprisingly, it’s not that hard to get, though it might take a bit of griding. There’s a possibility of getting a Stone Mask from any Chest (Common, Rare, or Legendary.)

If you want to stock up on a bunch of chests, we’d suggest tackling some Raids if your stats are up to it. Completing one usually gives you a stack of chests. (We actually have a guide on Bizarre Lineage Raids, not that we’d want you to read it, or anything…)

Gaining Vampire Powers

So, you’ve abandoned your humanity and become a vampire. You might have noticed that the powers of darkness aren’t exactly right there at your fingertips. No, you’re going to have to work for them. You’ll need to head off to DIO’s Chapel (found in the Graveyard near Bus Stop 18) and present yourself to the Elder Vampire NPC, you’ll find him to the left of the front door, on the inside. On discovering your new identity, this NPC will offer you the ‘An Ancient Evil’ questline.

Completing this will give you the full Vampire Moveset. In a nutshell, you’ll need to:

  • Take Down Hamon NPCs
  • Complete a World Event.
  • Spar with the Elder Vampire and win.
  • Win 2 1v1 PVP matches.
  • Spar with the Elder Vampire and win a second time.
  • Beat the Avdol Raid.
  • Beat the Jotaro Raid.
  • Spar with the Elder Vampire and win a third time.
  • Take down 30 Civilians. (Feels a little unfair on the Civilans.)
  • Beat the DIO Raid. (You can find the Raid in the chapel by speaking to ??? near the Altar.)

After all this, you’re a full-fledged vampire, congratulations!

Is Vampire Worth It?

Getting Vampire is easy enough to kick off, though you do need to stick with it to gain the full benefits. The moveset you gain access to isn’t massive, but the Lifesteal aspect of it is pretty useful, especially to claw your way back in PVP scenarios. Keep in mind that you can have a Stand AND Vampire, it’s not either or, so you’re not doing a huge trade off.

We’d say to check out whether you’d be more interested in Cyborg or Hamon before you commit, though. (If you’d like us to do a similar guide on those, please let us know.
