How To Get Event Drippo In Tales Of Tanorio
In this guide, I’ll walk you through the process of catching the special Event Drippo in Tales of Tanorio.
What’s The Difference Between Drippo And Event Drippo?
Regular Drippo is a dual Water/Grass type Tanorian with no evolved form as of yet. You can easily catch it in the wild at Fable Falls. Event Drippo, on the other hand, is another story. While mechanically identical to regular Drippo, Event Drippo has a unique visual design, and a more involved capture process that I’ll detail below.
Where To Find Event Drippo
Currently, the only way to get your hands on Event Drippo is through the Rupture system. These are random events that appear around the map once you’ve beaten Dylan, the game’s 2nd Gym Leader. Ruptures are essentially raid battles, in which four players with one Tanorian each take on a single powerful opponent.
Each time you enter a Rupture, there’s a 12.5% chance you’ll encounter Event Drippo. The best way to hunt down Event Drippo, then, is to get involved in as many Ruptures as possible. You get a notification in the global chat each time a new one appears, so keep an eye on that and be ready to head to the location ASAP.
Catching Event Drippo
As mentioned above, Event Drippo is mechanically identical to regular Drippo. This means it’s a dual Water/Grass type Tanorian. It also has massively inflated stats, due to being a Rupture encounter and not just a random wild battle.
Water/Grass is a strong defensive type pairing, but there are some ways to get around it. Both Air and Bug types have an advantage, and will be able to land super-effective hits on Drippo. Given how much Health it has in a Rupture, this is almost a must.
If possible, you should try and coordinate three friends to take part in the Rupture with you, since the NPCs that join otherwise can knock Drippo out before you can catch it. Also be sure to bring along the best Tanocans you have access to, to maximise your chances of catching Event Drippo.
