How To Get Giant Pets in Grow a Garden
Despite all logic being null, and mammals such as dogs and cats hatching from eggs, Grow a Garden does have some accurate lore. In short, getting a giant pet is down to luck and age.
You won’t know the genetic profile of a hatched pet until it’s roaming around your farm. A good indication for a pet’s final size can be worked out from their first weigh-in when they’re a newborn. If they’re larger than the average for their species, then you may have gotten lucky and hatched a giant!
Likewise, the older a pet is, the larger it grows until it is fully aged. To keep your pets satisfied, monitor their hunger and feed them regularly, and they’ll continue to age and grow when you’re playing and when you’re offline.
What Do Larger Pets Do?
Other than appearing larger than their kin, their buffs aren’t enhanced due to size. Hypothetically, if you hatched two Cats and one was significantly larger, they’d still only cover the same amount of ground when resting and triggering their nap buff.
Do Sprinklers Work? – FAQ
Sadly not. Pets won’t reach a larger size if placed next to a sprinkler, watering can, or any other Gear. This may change in future updates, but for now, you’ll just have to keep planting and playing.
