How To Get Purple Lightning In Blox Fruits

What Is Purple Lightning?

Purple Lightning is one of the new skins for the Lightning Powers in Blox Fruits. As you might expect, it turns your lightning energy a spooky black and purple. The actual moves remain the same, though, and the Purple Lightning does the same damage as regular Lightning. It just looks cool.

How To Get Purple Lightning

Update: The Purple Lightning skin is no longer available from the Summer Gacha, the info below is for archive purposes only.

The first thing you need to know about Purple Lightning is that it’s actually a different fruit from the Lightning Fruit. If you consume a regular Lightning Fruit, you will get the usual yellow lightning effects. What you need is a Purple Lightning Fruit. This is a whole different fruit from the regular Lightning (though as we mentioned, it still has the same powers and moveset mechanically).

The Purple Lightning Fruit comes from the Summer Gacha, this is a limited event that started with the Lightning Update.

The Summer Gacha runs on Summer Tokens, which you can get from Lightning Events. These are events that currently happen every hour. Storms gather and strike low-level enemies on islands. If you take down these Lightning Enemies, you’ll earn Summer Tokens.

When you have enough Summer Tokens, head to the Fruit Gacha NPC. If you’re in the First Sea, you’ll find the Fruit Gacha NPC in the Jungle area, on top of the tall rock. Second Sea’s NPC is in the Cafe. Third Sea’s NPC is in the Mansion.

It costs 500 Summer Tokens for a spin on the gacha, with a chance to get the Purple Lightning, though you’ll probably need to try it a few times to get what you want.
