The Set Up
Before you start the Sentimental Hijack Ending, you need to have completed the Friendship Route. This means spending a long time using only a Glove as your tool to humanely earn your 12.5k needed Cash before heading on your way.
After this, when you start a new game, the Sentimental Hijack ending has a 30% chance to spawn. You’ll know if you’ve triggered this route if the doll on Billy’s desk has a black aura around it.
Blood Cash Sentimental Hijack Ending
After unlocking the Rolling Pin and raising Billy’s unease, the camera will zoom in on the doll. You have the choice between interacting with it or continuing to hurt Billy.
Choose the ‘Interact with doll’ option and watch as new lore unfolds. The doll will come to life and talk with the player. After this, the doll encourages you to learn what it takes to be a true decent human being, and a greyed-out version of the game will play.
This eventually leads to Billy remembering the sentimental value of the doll and who it is, as the doll communicates with him and prevents you from hitting him with a rolling pin, or worse.
Spoilers Ahead!
The conclusion of this route is the doll hijacking the game and saving Billy from the brutality of its players. Other routes have unsettling dialogue, hinting towards Billy being more than code and capable of feeling each blow. So, the doll, who we learn to be an old friend of his and now a virus, recodes the game so that the player themselves is the one beaten unconscious.
