How To Play MEG Endless Reality

In MEG Endless Reality, we’ll call it MEG for short, you play as members of the Major Explorer Group, hence the name of the game. Your job is to complete missions for your employer, by descending into strange places, completing objectives, and getting out before the time ticks down.

Controls

The first thing you need to do is familiarize yourself with the basic controls. We’ve detailed the keybinds in case you need them.

  • Movement – WASD
  • Jump – Space Bar
  • Interact – E
  • Sprint – Shift
  • Flashlight – F
  • Crouch – C
  • Item Hotkeys 1-9

Missions

Interact with the terminal in the MEG HQ to pick up a mission. The terminal will invite you to pick a level. Only one you’ve picked a level do you get the mission. These can vary in difficulty. The more difficult the objective, the better the reward. Your reward at the end can also depend on how quickly you complete your objective.

It’s usually finding an item somewhere on the map and interacting with it, though it can also involve trapping entities.

Tips

So now you have some idea how the gameplay loop of MEG works, let’s go into a few ways to improve your runs.

  • Buy an Elevator Compass ASAP. This lets you find the elevator much more easily, which can be crucial for getting back. You should usually have enough money when you start to get at least one compass. This is also a massive help with entities like the Habitable Zone entity, which can teleport you around the level.
  • Work as a team. If you’re not playing solo you should make the most of having multiple people, but be sure not to just run around at random. Send team members to check certain areas. If you can get the means to communicate, but don’t all have watches, it might be worth having a team member stay near the elevator and watch the clock.
  • Some levels are more dangerous than others. Some levels are perfectly safe, others have entities that cause problems but don’t harm you much, some have entities that will take players out. It’s good to keep this in mind when picking where you visit.
  • You can keep sprinting. Sprinting lasts for a long time, so knock yourself out.
