One of the latest pets in Grow A Garden promises a bit of calming wisdom to boost the other pets’ abilities, but you’ll need to help them settle in with a few changes to your garden. Let us explain a bit about the Grow A Garden Nihonzaru.
Grow A Garden is out now on Roblox. If you’d like to read all about the different pets in the new update, check out our guide on the Grow A Garden Zen pets.
How To Use The Grow A Garden Nihonzaru
What Is The Nihonzaru?
The Nihonzau is a pet that arrived in the new Zen update. It’s a macaque monkey, and has the useful ability to boost the passives of other pets, but there’s a catch! You need to fulfil a requirement to make the power work. (See below!)
How To Get The Nihonzaru
The Nihonzaru is a pet available from the Zen Egg. This pet egg is currently available through two kind of related ways.
- Bought with Chi from the Zen Shop. (The Tanuki NPC in the central area.)
- A prize for completing certain levels of the Zen Tree by giving Tranquil crops to the monk NPC.
Once you have a Zen Egg, every one you hatch has a 31% chance to be a Nihonzaru, which isn’t bad odds. We just wish the Zen Egg was in stock more often at the Zen Shop. 🙁
How To Use The Nihonzaru
The Nihonzaru is an unusual pet in that it needs an item to work properly. In fact, it needs a particular feature placed in your garden. The Nihonzaru pet boosting passive only works if you have a Hot Spring placed somewhere in the garden, for the monkey to take a nice relaxing bath.
You can get hold of the Hot Spring from the Zen Shop (when it’s in stock) for 30 Chi, and it’s available on the lower tiers of the Zen Tree, so you should be able to find one pretty quickly if the stock gods are on your side. Once you have it, make sure to place it somewhere in your garden via the decorations menu, the tool icons in the top left of the screen.
