Monster Hunter now is a new game from location-based games King, Niantic. Think of it like Pokémon Go, but instead of catching the monsters you find roaming around the world, you go and fight them with a sword or a big hammer. Collect trophies from your victories and turn them into the all-new kit.

Monster Hunter Now Rathalos Guide
Here we’ll try and fill you in on anything we think is useful!
About Rathalos
Rathalos is a flying wyvern monster, similar to the more ground-based wyvern, Rathian. In fact, the two are actually the same species. Rathalos are the male wyverns, while Rathians are the females.
This monster attacks using fire and can use its flight abilities to its advantage.
Rathalos Moves
A Rathalos will use different moves depending on whether its flying or in a landed state. You can force the landed state by targeting the monster’s winds and forcing them to break.
Landed Moves
- A forward bite.
- A charge accompanied by fire from the mouth.
- A jump and slam with its feet.
- A fireball projectile that travels straight out from the Rathalos.
When the Rathalos takes flight, its moves change up.
Flying Moves
- A swipe with its talons.
- A large arcing burst of fire around the entire front of the monster. (Watch out for this one!)
- A dive.
- A short-range fireball.
Rathalos Rewards
You can use Rathalos drops to craft the Rathalos Armor set. Stats of all pieces are listed below. You’ll need to craft 30 armor pieces before you can get to work on the set.
