Sega released last week their zombie killing game House of the Dead: Overkill – The Lost Reels onto Android and back when we announced that the game had arrived, we mentioned that there was a few surprises for those of you who are fans of retro games. One of those surprises is a ‘Shinobi’ upgrade which is themed after the classic ninja game’s bonus shooting gallery rounds.
Originally we were going to install custom texture packs using a rather long drawn out method. It wasn’t a hard method, it was just a fair amount of steps. This was the plan until a user named Snowbound on the Minecraft.net forums made a program that takes a fair amount of the pain out of installing custom texture packs for Minecraft: Pocket Edition on Android.
Welcome to another addition of Minecraft: Pocket Edition Modding 101. In this part we will be going over how you can access all the blocks currently unavailable to you in Minecraft: Pocket Edition even though they are actually in the game itself. 95% of these blocks are functioning as well including the mystical TNT which will explode and cause damage.
Welcome to our new series which we will be doing every day for the next few days before slowing down into a weekly series, or whenever something new comes out to do with Minecraft: Pocket Edition. This series will go over all kinds of things that you can do with Minecraft: Pocket Edition such as importing custom texture packs, how to get unavailable blocks and today’s subject, importing custom maps.
Rockstar recently released a game this past winter from their little known franchise called Grand Theft Auto. Hide your children, hide your wife, Grand Theft Auto III has made its way from your living room television to your pocket in form of the Grand Theft Auto III: 10 Anniversary Edition.
Not that Grand Theft Auto III for Android has bad graphics that need improving upon as they are quite good as-is, but for those of you who really like to tweak games and push your devices, you can actually boost the graphical quality of this game with a few simple tweaks which will probably take you no longer than 5 minutes if you have everything in place already.
At the time of its injunction, mobile gaming has bunkered on lowest level of video game caste system. Regarded worthwhile only to pass the time while waiting on line, cell phone games have been casually dismissed by hard core gamers as time wasters. Not fit to fly under the banner of video games, cell phone games also felt the same discrimination from their mobile cousins, the Nintendo and Sony handhelds.
How to play Shadowgun on an Asus Transformer using an Android phone as a game pad with DroidMote
Last week we showed everyone how to play Shadowgun on an SGSII and an Asus Transformer using a Playstation controller and Sixaxis. Now we can show you how to use DroidMote to convert your Android phone into a game pad and use it to play Shadowgun on a tablet, in this case again on a Asus Transformer.
As many of you know Shadowgun from Madfinger Games is the current big hit title out right now on Android. Released last week for Tegra 2 devices, this game has already blown up on the charts and soon non-tegra 2 Android devices will be able to play it as well for those of you without root.
