Hollows and Arrancars have one of the more difficult progression paths in Type Soul by far. With my guide on how to get Partial Res in Type Soul, however, you can alleviate some of that difficulty.
If you’re a fan of the long-running Shonen anime Bleach, then Type Soul is the Roblox game for you. It brings the complexity and violence of that series over into a thrilling Roblox experience, with plenty of room to experiment with different Races and character builds. If you opt for the Hollow/Arrancar path, then you’ll eventually need to grab Partial Res to boost your power. Read on to learn how to do so.

How To Get Partial Res In Type Soul
In this guide, I’ll walk you through the process of unlocking the Partial Res state for your character. Before we begin, it’s worth noting that Partial Res is a higher tier of power exclusive to characters of the Arrancar Race. Soul Reapers and Quincys have their own, different progression paths to follow.
Step 1 – Reach Grade 2
Before you can even start trying to get Partial Res, you’ll need to do two things. First, you’ll need to become an Arrancar. When playing as a Hollow, you can do this by pressing Ctrl+K to remove your mask. Next, you’ll need to reach Grade 2. For Arrancars, this can be done simply by amassing Mission XP. Take on lots of Missions, in a party with friends if necessary, until you hit Grade 2.
Step 2 – Travel To Hueco Mundo
With the pre-requisites out of the way, we can begin the guide proper. The first thing you’ll need to do is head to Hueco Mundo, the hub area for Hollow characters in Type Soul. Once there, you’ll need to find the Harribel NPC and chat to her. She’s standing by a pillar in the colosseum area of the map, and you can identify her at a glance by her white face mask.
Step 3 – Carry The Purple Orb
After chatting to Harribel, the next step is to head to Hueco Mundo Castle. Before you do, make sure to defeat a Soul Reaper or Quincy character in battle, however. This is required in order to progress with the process.
Enter Hueco Mundo Castle, and make your way up the stairs to the white area. Explore until you find the glowing purple orb, sitting out on a table. This will only appear if you’ve killed a Soul Reaper or Quincy as mentioned above.
Pick the orb up, and start making your way out of the Castle and across Hueco Mundo, to the huge pit on the other side of the area. You can’t fight back while carrying the orb, so players will most likely attack you as you do so. The best way to do this, then, is to bring one or two friends along to defend you during the carrying stage.
Step 4 – Complete The Obby
After dropping into the pit with the purple orb, you’ll be taken to a challenging platforming section. Or Obby, in Roblox parlance. This is made up of narrow platforms, so you’ll need to be very precise with your jumps in order to make it through.
Most of the Obby is straightforward enough, but there’s a devious jump right at the end where a staircase conceals a pit. To get across this one, you’ll need to find the tiny edge jutting out on the other side and aim for it when you jump. After the Obby, you’ll find a black orb. Touch it to get Partial Res!
