Finding Diamonds takes a lot of patience and know-how, which is why I’ve created this Prospecting Diamond guide. No longer a girl’s best friend, this expensive mineral continues to evade players despite its versatility and uses. Let’s get into it.

How To Find a Prospecting Diamond
Diamonds appear along the shorelines of Rubble Creek Sands, Rubble Creek Deposits, Fortune River, Fortune River Delta, and Sunset Beach. There’s no shortage of places to scour, and yet, this mineral is incredibly hard to find.
To increase your odds of finding a Diamond, you’ll need Luck, and plenty of it! I recommend the following methods to enhance your Luck boost.
- Crafting – Focus on low-cost Luck boosters for now, as if you don’t have a Diamond, you’re likely still in the early game.
- Luck Totems – Costing 300 Shards, Totems give an area enhanced luck (x2) for 30 minutes!
- Potions – Visit the Alchemist within town and invest in both the Lesser and Greater Luck Potions. (They stack!)
- Codes – Prospecting Codes often give temporary Luck Boosters.
- Quests – Completing quests for NPCs sometimes rewards the player with permanent Luck Boosters, such as the Lighthouse Questline.
- Pans – Your Pan is the easiest way to quickly accumulate Luck. I recommend investing in either the Meteoric or Diamond Pan to reach enough Luck for the Diamond.
- Friends – For every friend online, you gain +10% luck.
Trivia: The Diamond is a Legendary rarity mineral, and per kg without modifiers, has a value of $1,000,000.
A Diamond’s Purpose
Diamonds have more uses than solely completing Journal entries and collecting Shards from the newest find. They’re also utilised in Crafting and Quests, helping to prestige the player with better enhancements and buffers.
A notable example is the Trader NPC at Rubble Creek, who requests a Diamond after completing their first fetch quest for an Emerald. After completing the Diamond quest, the player will gain a permanent selling boost, shards, EXP, and money!
As for crafting, the Diamond appears in both the Crown recipe and the Prismatic Star. Two overpowered artefacts that apply massive buffs to the wearer, such as Luck, Dig Strength, Dig Capacity, Digging Speed, Shake Strength, Shake Speed, Sell Boost, Size Boost, and Modifier Boosts!
